West is a student at a California high school that has found out he can fly. He, like many others with special abilities, has read Activating Evolution, Chandra Suresh's book, and has looked for others like him. He senses something different about Claire Bennet when she joins his science class.
The two get into heated arguments about teenage conformity, each discussion ending with Claire telling West to leave her alone. One time, just as Claire is about to tell him one last time, he simply whisks her up into the sky. On their first date, they spend time on the famous Hollywood sign talking about their secret lives.

Wanting Claire to accept who she is, West constantly encourages her to do acts which may cause her to be discovered by the Company.

A story in the making

mangyayari..
matino tlga tatay nya..
super sad lang..
eh si Phoebe..
naghahallucinate sya na binubugbog sya..

Kasi.. sa isip ni Phoebe
sinisisi sya nung father niya
tapos one yr nagsa-sulk ung father..
bago niya mabuo ung sarili niya..
sige I'll go with your idea :">
mas okay nga sgro kung may naaalala si Father kay Phoebe

Father is a loving husband and loving father.
When Mother died..
He was very sad..
I'll make them HS sweethearts maybe..
para SUPER long yung pinagsamahan nila..
Father was very very sad but he always struggle to do the daily chores for Phoebe... but when he sees Phoebe.. it triggers his longing for Mother..
because they are just too alike..
He can't eat in front of Phoebe can't take to look at her...
when He sees her he just starts shaking and crying..
which is misunderstood by Phoebe..

make one specific thing that they're alike.. like the way she smiles, or the eyes or the nose or the shape of the face..
cge, continue

She thinks her father is shaking in anger

nd blaming her inside..
the dimple and the smile maybe..
okay nb? :">

so, for a kid who knows what death implies
she then misunderstands anxiety for anger??
hmmm..
there's something wrong with this kid..
okay to okay to
kelangan convincing ang pag-sulat mo dito
kasi, kung mausisa ung magbabasa
parang inconsistent
naiintindihan ung death (which shows a lack of ignorance)
pero di naiintindihan ung feelings ng tatay (which shows too much innocence)
tpos too mature ung interpretation (which shows again a deep adult understanding)

Relationship talk ver. 3

Awesome random seemingly mature etc. Facts:

Proximity effect:
Mga taong laging kasama mo, madalas magkakagusto ka, kahit slight lang.

Gray Area:
Wala kang pinapanigan, pero it's still a choice along side black and white.

Replacement for the Lost Reinforcement:
"Pinakilig ka lang, minahal mo na agad." Yan ung tinatawag na paghahanap ng..ginawa mong panakip butas, in short. Sabihin natin na genuine yang feelings mo pero may part na pagkiling sayo because of your
1.) characteristics, personality 2.) awa
Pero nung time na un, ang context mo you're undergoing postbreakup

Post Breakup Syndrome:
Yung feeling na kunyari tinuturuan kang lumangoy, may naka-hawak pa sayo kaso iniwan ka. It's either matuto kang lumangoy on your own to save yourself or humanap ka ng kakapitan na iba, thus foregoing ung fact na pwede kang matuto from it. Pero pag kumapit ka sa iba, hindi ka natutong lumangoy.

Plunging to various ideas is great, but be prepared.
I like the idea of loving, madali lang magmahal. Pag mahal mo tlga isang tao mamamaintain mo yan.
kaya nga may priorities; sometimes to the detriment of yourself.
You can always manage yourself; Pag gusto may paraan; pero I have my priorities.
Kaya nga gusto ko fling lang, I get affirmations, I get sweet talks, without relationships.

Keep calm and move on. Life goes on eh.

Best way to start a new relationship is ung feeling na blank slate ka.......sa lahat ng bitter feelings kung hindi bitter feelings, at least ung "hurt". In a way nagiging selfish ka kapag pinatulan mo ung sumasalo sayo habang nagmomove on ka. Clinging desperately to someone pag may kailangan ka lang ifulfill na emotional needs mo
pag di mo kailangan, discarded sa tabi. Wag kang maging egocentric. Isipin mo na lang kung ikaw ginanyan.
Anong mararamdaman mo?
Gugustuhin mo ba yan mangyari sayo?
Yan problema ng mundo eh, we make certain actions without thinking ano yung pwedeng mangyari sa iba. Or, what we would have felt kung sa atin ginawa ung action na un.

"Di ko b sya pde bigyan ng chance? To make me fall in love?"
That's a desperate attempt to salvage what's left of your relationship. Mainlove ka pag sure ka nang wala ka nang masyadong emotional baggage na bibitbitin sa next relationship mo. That means, hindi ka nakasabit sa isang semi-relationship

Go flourish on your own first. You'd have to resolve your issues first.

Why do you always want to love?
"I want that feeling of being protected and cared for..and vice versa"

Do you have conditions in loving or falling in love?
"Normally.. they just have to be extra nice to me. The high ambitions and IQ.. is the duration test how long I'd be in love. And, I can also be in love just with a list of few coincidences and similarities."

Can you define what an unconditional love is?
"You'll love that person under any circumstances no matter who or what he is?"

When thinking about the "real thing", consider that without thinking that you could change a person.
You don't change a person.

We are young, a lot of things could happen.

Outside the Dirt Castle

In a palace painted of blues and shadows;
With walls too long deprived of radiance;
I, on a throne of lead and papers;
Left with no sense of time, or any;
Leaving hunger, the teller of passing time;

Heavy, my growing crown of thread is heavy;
Dusts that glimmer and veil my beauty;
Hey, Mr. Puppet, does it suit me?
I too would know but all is shaded;
As I look to the sky of bricks and binder;

Crumble, grind and tumble upon the roofing;
A disk with five oblongs, descending;
Must this be a hand? Oh, Good Fortune!
At last, a guest; a human, perhaps;
Pardon stands upon the midnight's open lid;

This young man clad in shining metal clothing;
Pulled me out and brought me to dawning;
Light pierced from behind sailing cottons;
I'm no princess; a shame, a bother;
My palace was but a hole under a boulder;

Puppets steered by my self-brought, weak delusions;
Fixed jams from moss and purple wormies;
A kingdom built upon soil and dirt;
Truth is nothing but an ugly farce;
When knowledge I didn't have, has made me scarce.

Credits to Regine and Renz for lending a hand <3. My purple wormies.

Why Rizal Favored The Count of Monte Cristo

“Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you”
            The Count of Monte Cristo is a novel written by Alexandre Dumas and adapted in film of the same name, directed by Kevin Reynolds and starred by stars Richard Harris as Abbe Faria, James Caviezel as Edmond Dantes, Dagmara Dominczyk as Mercedes Iguanada, Guy Pearce as Fernand Mondego, and Luis Guzman as Jacopo. I first read the novel and when I realized, a slow reader as I am, I wouldn’t be able to finish the book. I watched the movie instead. Many aspects have been changed, simplified, or removed. Edmond became second mate; the movie started with Edmond and Fernand as friends; and a lot of other things.
            The Pharaon was on journey when Captain Reynaud fell ill. Edmond Dantes, a young sailor, together with the ship crew and Fernand Mondego, sailed to the near island of Elba, where French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled. Bonaparte aided the captain but asked Dantes to deliver a letter to Monsieur Clarion, in exchange. Unfortunately, the captain died so the crew sailed back to Marseilles.
            On their arrival in Marseilles, Dantes was appointed Captain of the Pharaon by Monsieur Morrel, the shipowner. He ran to the arms of Mercedes with glee. The turn of events did not make Mondego and Danglars happy. Mondego mentioned the letter event to Danglars, the jealous first mate. While dining with his father and his fiancee, Dantes was arrested by the police commissary. Villefort, whose father is the man Dantes was to deliver the letter to and also the deputy chief prosecutor, sentenced Dantes to Chateu d’If.
            In Chateu d’If, he tried to argue his innocence with the Prison Head, Dorleac, yet he was pushed to his chamber. When all hopes were gone, an old man sprouted from the floor. Abbe Faria, an 11-year prisoner, gave him hope. The old man was digging tunnels for escape. Dantes joined the digging, and also learned education and sword mastery from Abbe Faria. When the old man was dying, he received the map to Spada’s treasure then switched bodies with the dead so he could be thrown out in the ocean and escape.
            In a neighboring island, he met a group of thieves where he made his way in and made a loyal friend, Jacopo. Three months later, Dantes, also known as Zatarra, with Jacopo returned to Marseilles. He learned about Danglar’s wealth, his father’s hanging, Mercedes and Fernand’s wedding and Villefort’s promotion during the 16 years he was gone. He and Jacopo sailed on a boat to Monte Cristo.
            Dantes and Jacopo found the treasures of Spada in the island of Monte Cristo. They took all they could carry to Paris. He bought a palace so he could play as the count of Monte Cristo. He established himself in Paris and started his vengeful plans. He made sure Fernand’s business to go down. He staged a kidnap of Fernand’s son, Albert, so he could appear a hero and get close to the Mondego’s. Mercedes noticed the resemblance of the Count and Edmond Dantes.
            Using the remaining treasures of Spada, they lured the greedy Danglars into committing a crime of thievery and was captured by the authority.  He confronted Villefort in a sauna bath and cornered him into confessing that he was the mind behind the murder of Fernand’s father. Villefort was arrested. When he reached home, Dantes was yet again faced by Mercedes. The lady showed him the thread ring that proved her still loyal and unending love for the vengeful man.
            The last man left, Fernand was bankrupt and was facing charges. When he ordered Mercedes to escape with him, she told him that she and her son would be leaving but not with him. Albert was revealed to be the son of Dantes and was the reason Mercedes rushed the wedding.
            Fernand headed to the treasure chests they stole from Dantes’s cargo; He found no treasure but only a King chess piece. Dantes appeared and exposed his identity . They raised sword at each other. Fernand was outskilled but only rescued by Albert. Mercedes, along with Jacopo, came and told Albert the truth giving Fernand the time to reload his gun. He shot Mercedes but fortunately the hit was not fatal thanks to Jacopo hitting the gun with his knife. Dantes ended the life of his old friend with another brawl.
            Edmond Dantes, Mercedes, Albert and Jacopo came to Chateau d’If, implying a happy ending.
            This novel was among Jose Rizal’s favorites.  An underdog taken advantage of his innocence, stripped from his rights, made to suffer, rebuilt him, avenged against his persecutors, renewed his life, walked the path of good. Philippines and her men, suffering as Edmond Dantes, needed a source of hope and this is exactly what the novel gives. Rizal may be intelligent but his pure patriotism made him a target of the Spaniards. He was exiled and imprisoned twice yet all he wanted was good treatment from the colonial government. He did not kill nor lead a revolution. But, apart from the certain similarities, it is noticeable that his main character in El Filibusterismo Crisostomo Ibarra and Edmond Dantes had the most commonality. Each found an amount of treasures, which were used as instruments in exacting revenge. Crisostomo Ibarra returns as Simoun, a rich jeweller, to avenge the betrayal he experienced and to recover his fiancee, Maria Clara. One common tale of adventure, love, loss, revenge and retribution. Dumas’s novel called to Rizal.
            “Life is a storm, my fellow Filipinos. The Philippines will bask in the oriental sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a Filipino is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Mactan. Do your worst Filipinos, for I will do mine! Then the Spain will recognize you as we recognize you.”

Imagine you with a twisted mind.

     You live with your younger brother but he is out sleeping over in his friend's house for tonight. You are alone 4:12 in the morning. The dogs in the neighborhood start howling and you hear the stray cats moving on your roof. The sound of the lizards are deafening. Everything seems so clear to you. That, you are alone in your miserable bungalow.
     You open your list of friends. Nobody is online and two are missing in the list. They deleted you and you know why. As the loneliness sink deeper, you find yourself with no one to talk to. The fear that you might experience something supernatural was defeated by the fear that yet again, you are alone.
     You start to remember the first time you underwent abandonment. You were seven years old at that time when your parents separated but you know they were long gone in spirit. You never felt the warmth that the "idea of parents" promised. You never knew how it feels like to be family. You never tried riding on the back of your father. Nor have you tried being dressed up by your mother. Your school was offering you competitions and workshops but not once did your parents supported you. You were alone. You started picking fights at school but never did one of your parents appear before your teachers. You started earning medals but never did one of your parents appear before the audience. Whichever you did had no effect. You were just there breathing but not living in their world. You sat at the darkest corner of your old house watching your conceited mother and father as they throw things as each other. You hear hurtful words back and forth, but never was it for you because you were too less of a worth that even one curse is not worth taking the energy to mention it. You were alone in the middle of a lover feud and the separation was just expected.
     The unfortunate kid you were, you tried to seek importance from others. But who would care giving you what you wanted when your own obligated parents couldn't give it to you. You looked for friends but your friends were only skin-deep. You got in trouble, you were caught in fights all because of them but, everyone ran away when punishment comes. You were left alone to carry the burden but that was not you. You know you had something more in you. That was not your life. You stand up a midst the mountains of rubble and your friends hated you for trying to change. You graduated from your primary school, leaving everything behind.
     You met great people in the next chapters of your life but on the third volume, you and the others had to leave for a separate journey. They were busy and you, you became the person you were good at. You became the lost child that you were. You jumped to the pages of your book. It tore the leaves from the spine. Some lines where even incomprehensible from the tears you carelessly shed. You pushed yourself in places you couldn't turn back from. You trapped yourself. And the people following you, you wasted their time. They had high hopes for you, but you disappointed them. They left one by one into their busy lives because they realized you were not the show they came for. You, my friend, were alone again.
     The memories are not helping. You hurl disgusting stuff from your insides. Nauseous. You are young, you still have a lot of years in front of you but that does not encourage you. You don't know which way to go. You imagine all the moments you were alone. You imagine all the people who left you. Imagine everything bad. Leave out all the goods things that happened. Bury yourself in the hole that your pessimism dug down. You know you are intelligent. You know you have a lot of fight in you. You know that maybe a lot still have high hopes for you and just waiting for you to claim yourself. That maybe you were the one who build walls around you from the fear and horror of your past.
     There were a lot of good things you do not include in your memories. You liked engulfing yourself in the shadows. What good does it bring you? You look at your wall. Browse it down. You see all the pitiful statuses you typed down hoping for others to comfort you. You have a very sad life. You pushed aside the idea that maybe somewhere in the globe, there are 80% people having it worse. You ignore that fact because you want to claim to be the saddest. You lose hope. You simply lost hope. You push the LCD screen. You stand from your chair and fall down on your knees. You curl in the floor. You bash the ground with your tiny knuckles from the weeks of eating nothing more than three spoonfuls. You can't handle this, you whisper.
     With your black and blue hands, a hand not fit for sketching anymore, you crawled your way to the kitchen. You left a map of tears on the way. You touch the cross on your necklace. Hold it tight then pull it away. You know this is wrong but you choose to let your emotions get the better of you. You reach for the first knife you can grab. You stare at it as the fluorescent light reflect on its silver. Imagine how nasty it will feel if you stab yourself with its blade. Imagine your flesh being torn and sliced. That pain would be the newest of all pain in your list. The uniqueness of the agony as your blood is spilled on the tiles of your kitchen. Happiness rushes in. The irony of feeling so alive as you lose your last breath. This is by far your...sickest imagination.

Love is therefore a "decision". Not just a feeling.

ARE YOU WITH THE RIGHT PARTNER?
--Jackie Lee

During a seminar, a woman asked," How do I know if I am with the right person?"

The author then noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so he said, "It depends. Is that your partner?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?" "Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind," replied the author.

Here's the answer.

Every relationship has a cycle… In the beginning; you
fall in love with your partner. You anticipate their calls,
want their touch, and like their idiosyncrasies. Falling in love wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet."Picture the expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few months or years of being together, the euphoria of love fades. It's a natural cycle of EVERY relationship.

Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts. The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship; you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your partner might start asking, "Am I with the right person?" And as you reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you
may begin to desire that experience with someone
else. This is when relationships breakdown.

The key to succeeding in a relationship is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the person you found.

People blame their partners for their unhappiness and look outside for fulfillment. Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes.

Infidelity is the most common. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your relationship. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later.

Because (listen carefully to this):

The key to succeeding in a Relationship is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the Person you found.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. You have to work on it day in and day out. It takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it demands WISDOM. You have to know
WHAT TO DO to make it work. Make no mistake about it.

Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your partner), Just as there are physical laws Of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. If you know how to apply these laws, the results are predictable.

Love is therefore a "decision". Not just a feeling.

Remember this always: God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let GO!
